About Jennifer

Hi, I’m Jen (she/her), the founder of Bloom Therapy. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist with over a decade of experience helping individuals heal from grief and trauma. I truly love the work I do and feel honored to witness the growth and transformation that can happen through therapy.

I believe therapy is good for the soul; it can support anyone at any stage of life. My specialties include working with individuals coping with complex trauma (C-PTSD), grief and loss, toxic relationship patterns like narcissism, anxiety, depression and parenting struggles. I have a special interest in supporting women through life’s changing seasons from the perinatal period to perimenopause, menopause, and beyond.

I earned my Bachelor of Science from Union College in upstate New York and my Master’s degree in Art Therapy from the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan. Before establishing my private practice, I worked on the hospice and palliative care team within a major hospital network, where I supported families and children through their grief journeys. I then pursued EMDR training and later became EMDR Certified, which is an approach that has brought powerful healing for many of my clients.

I feel deeply humbled to be part of each client’s personal journey. While every story is unique, none of us are meant to walk through this world alone. My approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, a little bit of humor, and respect for each person’s strengths and individuality.
